Mercana Furniture & Decor Warranty – Hospitality Commercial Grade as of July 2025

Mercana Furniture & Décor Ltd (“Mercana”, “we,” “us”, “our”) stands behind our manufacturing & materials. We use performance grade materials that are tested in-house for durability so you can trust your purchase of hospitality-grade products with confidence.

This Warranty applies exclusively to “Hospitality” designated products (as indicated on our website or product marketing) purchased directly from Mercana or from Mercana authorized dealers/partner. The Warranty is limited to the original purchaser from Mercana; it does not extend to any subsequent purchaser or their date of sale. The (“Duration”) of the Warranty is 24 months commencing from the date of invoice/shipment, as shown by Mercana’ records.

We warranty any defects in material & workmanship as outlined in the material specific product clarifications & disclaimers (the “Warranty”). Mercana will replace (or have repaired) any Mercana product that does not conform to the Warranty at no additional charge to the original purchaser.

Please note that this Warranty does not extend to instances of abuse or misuse, including improper storage/handling, prolonged exposure to moisture, user modifications or alterations, attachment of unauthorized accessories, extreme temperature fluctuations or humidity levels, exposure to unconventional conditions, use of improper cleaning materials, or damage caused by contact with other products.

Additionally, Mercana is not responsible for fit & appearance issues resulting from inconsistent building conditions such as unleveled floors, weak walls, etc. This warranty also does not cover (a) any product designated “AS IS” at the time of purchase, (b) any differences between printed marketing materials, photos videos, or internet representations & the product purchased (c) floor demo/display or samples provided (d) yours or your customers own marketing or internet representation of the product.

Should you encounter any product that does not conform to the Warranty, you must submit your claim to our Claims Team at customerclaims@mercana.com. All claims must be provided by the original purchaser & accompanied by a photo to illustrate the defect described in your claim along with a photo of the Mercana QC Sticker. Ideally, the claim also includes the invoice number which this product was purchased under. Mercana will assess the claim & will at its sole discretion determine if it is covered under this limited warranty. If covered, Mercana will either replace in whole or specific components, find a local technician to repair or replace with a suitable alternative. If the original product is no longer available, a replacement of equal or lesser value will be provided. Mercana will make every attempt to respond & resolve in a reasonable timeframe but makes no commitment to a time-bound obligation. Supporting documentation, inspection, clarification, part sourcing, repair labour, replacements or other circumstances may extend claim assessment, action or denial.

No Implied Warranties: Other than the Warranty, Mercana makes no other warranties, express or implied, including those of merchantability & fitness for a particular purpose. Any other warranties that are required by law are limited to the Duration.

Exclusive Remedies: The Warranty & remedies outlined above are exclusive & supersede all other warranties, whether oral or written, expressed or implied.

Limitation of Liability: Under no circumstances shall Mercana be liable for any damages, including incidental or consequential damages, arising from the use or inability to use our products. Mercana’s liability for breach of any warranty is limited to the amount paid to Mercana by the original purchaser for each product that does not conform to such warranty.

Material Specific Clarification and Disclaimers

Upholstery Warranty Coverage
Fabrics, leathers, cushions, & filling materials are covered under warranty, with the following exceptions: natural characteristics of leather such as markings, color variations, wrinkles, scratches, insect bites, & healed scars; any color fading or surface changes resulting from exposure to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight; wrinkling, puckering, or shade variations commonly found in washed fabrics; & stains on leather caused by spills, soiling, or contact with other substances.

Natural Materials Warranty
Products crafted from natural materials—including wood, plants, stone, minerals, shells, & animal by-products—are covered under warranty. However, natural variations & changes that occur over time are not considered defects. These include differences in grain or color, hairline cracks in highly figured veneers caused by natural wood movement, & changes in color or surface texture of wood & veneer due to aging, material characteristics, or exposure to extreme temperatures or direct sunlight.

Finish Warranty
Mercana warrants its finishes against cracking, peeling, & blistering, provided they are properly maintained & cleaned according to the specific product care instructions. This warranty does not extend to abrasions, scratches, chips from regular use, normal fading, or stains resulting from spills. Additionally, any damage caused by exposure to chemicals—including but not limited to cleaning agents & solvents—is not covered. Because Mercana uses a variety of finishing techniques, such as nitrocellulose lacquer & polyurethane, care requirements may differ by product. To ensure the longevity of your finish, always follow the care guidelines included with your purchase.

Fragile Materials Warranty
Mercana products may include fragile components such as glass, mirrors, ceramics, & natural stone materials like marble & granite. Due to their delicate nature, these materials are prone to damage from impact, improper handling, or incorrect installation. As a result, any damage occurring after delivery—including chips, cracks, or breaks caused during handling, installation, or everyday use—is not covered by this warranty.

Commercial Hospitality Definition

Mercana defines Hospitality as an environment continuously used through the day/night with many changes of patrons. Products that are identified with our Hospitality warranty have been designed and deemed suitable to stand up to frequent use, cleaning and are of superior quality and durability than residential consumer grade products. Mercana reserves the right to deny a warranty claim if it is believed the product was used in a manner or environment in which it was not intended to be.

Our Standard Warranty (Residential Use) applies to our entire line of products (as indicated on our website or product marketing) purchased directly from Mercana or from Mercana authorized dealers/partner. The Warranty is limited to the original purchaser from Mercana; it does not extend to any subsequent purchaser or their date of sale. The (“Duration”) of the Residential Warranty is 90 days commencing from the date of invoice/shipment, as shown by Mercana’ records. We offer a 1-year duration on select categories and items indicated (but not limited) to the listing below. Check our website product specifications for the most up to date information.

Please note that this Warranty does not extend to instances of abuse or misuse, including use of this product in a commercial environment, improper storage/handling, prolonged exposure to moisture, user modifications or alterations, attachment of unauthorized accessories, extreme temperature fluctuations or humidity levels, exposure to unconventional conditions, use of improper cleaning materials, or damage caused by contact with other products.

Home Décor Accessory
All Decorative Accessories including Decorative Objects, Vases, Baskets, Trays, Candle Holders etc. are covered under a 90 day Limited Warranty duration with select items qualifying for a 1-year Limited Warranty duration as stated on each product specification page of our website.

Lighting
All Lighting including Chandeliers, Floor Lamps, Table Lamps, Pendants, Wall Sconces, and Light Bulbs are covered under a 90 day Limited Warranty duration with select items qualifying for a 1-year Limited Warranty duration as stated on each product specification page of our website.

Wall Art and Wall Décor
Mercana is pleased to offer a 1-year Limited Warranty duration on all of our Wall Art including Framed Art, Canvas Art and Wall Décor including Wall Mirrors, Wall Clocks, and Wall Accents.

Seating
1-Year Limited Warranty Duration on our Sofas, Love Seats, Sectionals, Upholstered Chairs, Accent Chairs, Dining Chairs, and Counter/Bar Stools. We strive to exceed Consumer Grade Materials and Craftmanship in our Seating.

Storage

Sideboards, Book Shelves, Kitchen Islands, Curio Cabinets, Accent Cabinets are covered under a 90-day Limited Warranty duration with select items qualifying for a 1-year Limited Warranty duration as stated on each product specification page of our website.

Tables

Dining Tables, Bistro Tables, Coffee Tables, End & Side Tables, Accent Tables, Console Tables are covered under a 90-day Limited Warranty duration. Many of our Table Collections qualify for a 1-year Limited Warranty duration as stated on each product specification page of our website.

All Other Categories

Categories not specifically outlined above are covered under a 90-day Warranty duration with select items qualifying for a 1-year duration as stated on each product specification page of our website.

Material Specific Clarification and Disclaimers

Residential Definition

Mercana defines Residential Use as an environment designated as a single family dwelling. While many of our products are designed to exceed consumer grade quality, these products for warranty consideration are to be used a few times a day or even a few times a week or be void of standard residential warranty. This would include but not limited to) Short Term Rentals (i.e. Bed and Breakfast, Air BnB, etc.), Home Staging of Residential properties, Events and Parties, or light commercial applications or spaces. Mercana reserves the right to deny a warranty claim if it is believed the product was used in a manner or environment in which it was not intended to be.
